Bio

As a youngster, the Houston-born Colin Edwards quickly developed a passion for motorcycles, and was soon racing in amateur events around the Lone Star State. Finding success on just about every racetrack he set two wheels on, Edwards is a two-time World Superbike champion, an AMA champion and three-time Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race Champion earning the nickname the Texas Tornado.

After over 30 victories and two titles in World Superbike series with Yamaha, Edwards took the step to Moto Gran Prix in 2003, where he continues to race today. 2011 will see the experienced and popular Colin Edwards begin his fourth year with Tech3 Yamaha and his seventh season as a Yamaha rider steering the YZR-M1. Edward’s is now entering the twilight of his career but has carved a reputation for not only being a friendly and likeable character but also a reliable racer, noted for his consistency.

Colin Edwards recently started the Texas Tornado Boot Camp where he hopes to inspire and improve the next generation of motorcycle riders, as well as help some of the current AMA and champion club riders improve their technique. With a teacher as experienced as Colin and an international clientele, it’s sure to become the next breeding for future motorcycle champions.
