Troy Brosnan is a complete package, a pro downhill mountain biker with raw speed, technique and zero fear, deserving of all the murmurings proclaiming him as the "Next Big Thing” in the sport. Many would argue he’s already there.

In 2010 Troy finished No. 1 in the UCI Junior World Cup series and won the UCI Junior World Championships, a feat he repeated in 2011. More telling, he competed in the 2011 UCI Men’s Elite World Cup and finished No. 4, punctuating his incredible season with a 4th-place finish at Val di Sole, Italy. With a month-and-a-half off the bike after the last Worlds, the 18-year-old Aussie cruised to a third straight Elite men’s Adelaide State Championship with 5 seconds to spare.

Troy has a pro contract with Team Monster Energy/ Specialized, along with multiple UCI World Downhill Champion and fellow SPY rider Sam Hill. With a great support team and a racing legend keeping him in check, he has a bright future on the world circuit. Look for Troy to turn it up a notch in 2012… With a few extra meat pies, some snags, a few dozen prawns, a bunch of chops and some cheesecake added to his daily diet, he will be unstoppable.
