Monday Mixtape: Phil Jacques Metal on Metal Mix
Phil Jacques approach to snowboarding and music can be summed up in a few words: Metal on metal. Phil blitzed the kinkiest rails he could find in his epic, two song ender part in Capita's Defenders of Awesome and looks to ramping up more metal on metal rail attacks for his upcoming part in the new Videograss movie. Expect to see sparks fly. The Phil Jacques Metal on Metal Mix is now modulating to your dome featuring tracks by Witchcraft, Blood Ceremony, Johnny Cash. Turn on, tune out, drop in.

Putting SPY on Mountain High
SPY family and friends made the short trip up to Mountain High, Nov. 19, to kick-off the 2011-2012 winter season and its new partnership with the mountain. With the SPY tents stacked next to the lift and a prize wheel and demo goggles on offer, the SPY line quickly became the hottest spot on the mountain. Winners or not, everyone was amped to test out the new oversized Platoon snow goggles that have been popping up on billboards and mountains everywhere.
Despite blustery pockets of wind and weather throughout the day, the crew that came out to ride was unfazed by the ever changing conditions and stoked with the clarity and comfort of the Platoon goggle. A few lucky winners even … MORE >>

AN OVERSIZED MAMMOTH WEEKEND
This past weekend marked Mammoth Mountain’s annual opening festivities complete with powder, parties and SPY Platoon goggles. SPY’s Platoon billboards spackled the stretch of Highway 395, giving everyone a face full of oversized pleasure on the pilgrimage. Under overcast skies and snow showers, it was the perfect opportunity to put the big, technical, spherical, Platoon goggles with the new pink Contact lens to the test. They passed with flying colors in Mammoth’s flat light conditions. The next day saw clear, blue skies. … MORE >>

SPY Quanta Sunglasses a Favorite in Outside Winter Buyer’s Guide, and Platoon Goggle Featured
Outside Magazine's Winter 2011-2012 Buyer's Guide features Outside's new favorite go-fast glasses, the SPY Quanta, and the new SPY Platoon Special Ops snow goggle. Check out a preview of the issue below. SPY Platoon Special Ops: Oversize goggles like the Platoon are stylish these days. They also happen to work well: the field of vision is massive, and the flexible frame wraps the face nicely, offering a but more protection from wind and cold. SPY Quanta: There's nothing wrong with wearing sunglasses that scream I own a carbon-fiber road bike. But it's also nice to get all the same features–fog-preventing vents, a secure fit, and big-time coverage–on a pair that doesn't scream I own a … MORE >>
