If your order was placed Monday thru Thursday it will be shipped the same day or the day after. If your order was placed on Friday prior to 3:00pm PST, the order may be shipped the same day, if not it will be shipped on Monday. Will my credit card be charged immediately?

No. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped. When you enter your credit card information on the final review page, we'll give you an order confirmation number. We will send you another e-mail to notify you when your order has been shipped and we've charged your credit card.

What's your return policy?

We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects and will accept any defective item for refund or exchange (Spy Optic gift certificates are non refundable). Spy Optic will issue a refund within 30 days of purchase in the form and amount tendered for the original transaction. All returns or exchanges must be unworn, unused and in their original condition with receipt and tags attached. Merchandise received after 30 days will only be accepted at our discretion for an online store credit.
We offer pre-paid return labels for easy return or exchange of your merchandise. Once the merchandise is received, we will deduct a $5 processing and shipping fee from the amount refunded to the shopper's credit card. We will only refund shipping charges if we sent the wrong item or the item sent was defective. What is covered under warranty?


SPY Optic, Inc. (SPY) provides a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. SPY will replace any current style which is determined to be defective.*
Coverage is valid with dated proof of purchase from an authorized SPY+ dealer (eBay is not an authorized dealer, any warranty issues with eBay sales must be made with the seller). If you do not have your receipt, and your issue has otherwise been deemed under warranty, we can replace your frame for a nominal processing fee ($20 for non-polarized, $30 for polarized). Scratched lenses as a result of normal use are not covered by this warranty. SPY+ does offer a replacement service for items not covered under warranty. If you have scratched lenses in your SPY+ frames, the entire sunglass can be replaced at a discounted rate. What are Trident™ Polarized Lenses?

Every SPY® polarized sunglass features premium injected Trident™ polarized lenses. Sunlight is one crazy mother-we've accepted this-but through Trident™ polarization we filter sunlight's hyperactive, glared-filled rays into a stream of clean, clear light. This effectively reduces up to 99% of glare (especially from water, pavement, or other reflective surfaces), allowing wearers to see clearer and last longer in the elements.


What is ANSI certified and which styles are offered with this certification?

Our shades make you look cool and help you see cool things, certainly, but they're also designed to keep your eyeballs protected and in your head. That's why we made sure this pair of specs was ANSI Z87.1 certified for lens retention and high mass impact resistance. That means if something hits you in the face (or if your face hits something), the lenses will resist ejecting, they won't shatter, and the frame won't break. One test these badass optics endured is a 1/4-inch metal ball blasted at the them at more than 100 mph. The other is a 1.1 lb. pointed projectile dropped on them from more than 4 feet up.


How should I clean my sunglasses?

Rinse the lens with tap water gently to remove any dirt or loose objects from the lens. Blot the lens dry with a soft cloth and gently polish to remove any smudges. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to clean the lens. Be careful not to get excessive alcohol on the frame paint.


How do I read your frame measurements?

The frame measurements correspond to the width of the lens, the width of the nose, and the length of the temple. For example, the Lacrosse Frame Measurements are 61-16-129. 61mm is the width of the lens from left to right, 16mm is the width of the nose, and 129mm is the length of the temple.


What kind of UV protection does SPY offer?

All Spy lenses and goggle lenses offer 100% UV A, B & C protection.


What color lenses are best for specific conditions?

Spy has a wide range of lenses for every condition imaginable. In general, the best all around sunglass lenses are gray or bronze. Gray has the truest color while bronze enhances colors and offers outstanding definition and depth perception. In low light conditions (overcast, snowing), lens colors such as clear, persimmon (orange), yellow and rose are the best. We also offer mirrored lenses that are best for the brightest conditions.


Which SPY goggles can be used with helmets?

All current SPY goggles are helmet compatible.


How should I clean my goggles?

Special care is required for optimum performance. When the inner lens surface gets wet it becomes soft and is very susceptible to scratching. Do not rub the lens when this happens. Blot the lens with a soft cloth to remove the moisture or allow to air dry. When the lens has been thoroughly dried at room temperature, you may then gently polish it with a soft cloth to remove any smudges. The inner and outer side of the lens should generally be cleaned with tap water only. Rinse and follow the instructions above for drying.

How do I order prescription eyewear?

Once you have placed your prescription order, fax or email us your prescription complete with pupil distance along with your order number.


How long does an RX order take?

Orders take 10-14 business days once your prescription is received. Please fax or email your prescription, complete with pupil distance once you have placed your order.


What is your return policy on RX glasses?

All sales are final on RX orders, with exception of manufacturing defects.


What is Spectra Coating?

A reflective coating applied to the outside of the lens to give it a shiny, mirrored look. Mirror coated lenses absorb a bit more light than uncoated lenses but because the mirror coating is applied to the surface of the lens, extra care must be taken when cleaning a mirrored lens to prevent scratching and other damage to the surface. Lens cleaning cloths should be used rather than abrasive cotton or paper towels. Mild dishwashing soap is a good cleaner, but don't use other household cleaners such as Windex. What is Anti-Reflective Coating?

This coating is applied to the inside surface of the lens to minimizing the amount of light reflected by your lenses thus reducing annoying reflections and distracting glare which may cause headaches or interfere with vision clarity. Regular lenses reflect a very small amount of light back into your eye, possibly skewing vision; anti-reflective coating helps to prevent this anomaly.

What's the difference between "Order Date" and "Ship Date"?

On most websites, "Order Date" and "Ship Date" are not the same. For example, if you place an order on Friday at 11:00pm PST, your package will not ship until after the weekend. When you place an order, you'll see an "Estimated Ship Date" on the order page. If you opted for 2nd Day Shipping, you will receive your package two days after it ships.
