Accounts Receivable Clerk

Spy Optic a premium eyewear company located in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a highly motivated professional in our accounting department. The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for all cash posting and collections for an assigned territory and reports to the A/R Manager

Responsible for processing daily Accounts Receivable cash posting and customer collection calls

This position includes the following duties:

1. Open and sort mail daily.
2. Prepare checks for deposit, including check endorsement, deposit slips and posting spreadsheet for each deposit batch.
3. Prepare deposit batches to take to the bank, or for bank courier pick up.
4. Daily data entry and posting of deposit batches.
5. Post credit card payments.
6. Maintain electronic and paper files for all cash receipts batches and documents.
7. Daily outbound collection calls to customers.
8. Maintain notes on customer accounts to document collection activity.
9. Review and release of customer orders on credit hold.
10. Answer inbound customer telephone calls. Provide customers with requested documentation such as invoice copies or Proof of Delivery.
11. Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies, including preparation of appropriate credit/debit memos as necessary.
12. Monitor customer accounts for necessary changes in terms or credit limit. Prepare and submit appropriate forms to A/R Supervisor for approval and processing.
13. Assist with any other miscellaneous tasks deemed necessary by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years previous Accounts Receivable experience, collections and cash posting preferred.
• High level of integrity and ethics.
• Well-developed analytical skills.
• Effective and efficient verbal and written communication.
• Must possess excellent computer skills including expertise with Microsoft Office.
• Great Plains experience preferred.

Outside Sales Rep

Spy Optic, is seeking a highly motivated, Outside Sales Rep for the Province of Quebec. This position reports to the Canada National Sales Manager.

1. Meet or exceed sales goals & budget on a monthly basis
2. Open new accounts in areas or segments that require expansion
3. Work with the Sales Manager on a daily basis to keep them up to date on Spy in the territory
4. Evaluate and suggest accounts for financial growth and market strength
5. Visit accounts daily to solicit orders for Spy products
6. Educate and inform accounts on the Spy brand, news, events, contest, etc
7. Assist in retail marketing with key events within the territory
8. Clean and merchandise Spy displays and POP
9. Perform retail sales clinics for all Spy accounts

• 3+ years of sales rep experience
• Consistent demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work in an autonomous environment with minimal direction or supervision
• Ability to prioritize daily, weekly and monthly workload
• Working knowledge of the action sports and moto industry required

Compensation: Commission based position
