The E-commerce and Marketing Coordinator plays a central role in creating and maintaining the catalog and product mix on SPY’s main sites, as well sites of key digital partners. This position will also be point person for Hookit, in charge of daily management including athlete communication, store management, and leveraging analytics to grow the business. Additionally, the E-commerce and Marketing Coordinator will assist the Brand Activation Manager with events and the marketing team with high-priority projects, as needed. This position is located at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):

• Catalog creation and image gathering—sizing and adjusting images to be web ready for new styles for not only the SPY website, but various other partner sites including key retailers

• Daily management of Hookit, including athlete communications, messaging, resume approvals, order-related issues, and fielding general sponsorship questions outside of FAQ. Leverage site analytics to optimize customer experience, grow online sales and maximize margin

• Daily Management of Support Suite.  Gain an understanding of the art submission process and direct the flow of communication from all departments to the art/creative team.  Ensure info is accurate and complete ticket submission to completion.

• Collaborate with key digital partners on their marketing and visuals.

• Manage and execute marketed sales strategies for key online partners, including sales and promo events, emailer creation, and bolstering relationships with online partners to maximize SPY presence in their communications.

• Perform detailed audit for every product upload on website

• Weekly and monthly merchandising guidance on all sites based on analytics and inventory (best sellers, new product, discontinued product, and most in stock items/styles)

• Works in hand with operations to track long range, and close-in timing of product arrivals, restocks, and holds. This will inform email, ppc, and digital marketing campaigns across all digital outlets.

• Coordinate and send samples to SPY digital agency to shoot (and RA-ing and reconciling them upon return). QAing images from agency

• Collect and organize assets for weekly social communications for retailers

• Ensure all content follows the company’s brand guidelines

• Assist Brand Activation Manager with events, as needed

• Assist marketing team with high-priority projects, as needed

 

Requirements:

• E-commerce merchandising experience

• Strong Excel skills

• Knowledgeable about action sports and outdoor sports

• Proficient in web-based analytics tools

• Strong Analytical skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented department

• Fluency in popular social media platforms a plus

• Must be able to provide creative ideas

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Must possess a happy attitude and excellent customer service skills

• Must be organized and self-motivated

• Experience with InDesign and Adobe Photoshop a plus

Financial Planning & Analysis - Financial Analyst

SPY is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis- Financial Analyst to help support the overall business and financial planning and budgeting processes for our organization. This position is responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management reports that compare actual results to budgets and forecasts along with key performance metrics. This position is located at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.  

Job requirements include:

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, including excellent analytical skills and a strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. 

• High level of proficiency in Excel and Access. Database experience, VBA, SQL a plus.

• Responsible for the integrity of financial forecast and analysis.

• High standard for integrity required and a strong commitment and devotion to get the job done right the first time.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Be proactive, a self-starter, results-oriented, and a team player.

• Strong process and time management skills.

• Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting required, Master's Degree is preferred.

• Assist with annual SOX testing

• Knowledge of Great Plains a plus

Regional Sales Manager - East

SPY’s Regional Sales Manager - East must be a motivated and resourceful team player with exceptional management and communication skills. A successful candidate MUST have connection with reps and customers in the optical channel.  Candidates must have firsthand knowledge of the relevant geography and account base, and be willing to travel to support the business.

Duties to perform but not limited to:

­• Management of Field Sales Team and accounts within designated territory or category.

• Manage all account performances and create plans to grow and foster key regional account business.

• Work with management to determine a 12-month sales forecast by Rep.

• Develop Rep quotas and goals based on forecast and sales plan.

• Travel monthly with field reps.

• Evaluate and develop plans that include marketing and sales tools, merchandising, product, shipping, reps, training needs, assortments, displays and events.

• Build direct relationships with accounts (managers, buyers and associates).

• Contact reps daily to assist in the implementation of any and all orders within the specified region.

• Take ownership of top 10 accounts within rep territory, direct responsibility to drive and maintain these businesses.

• Seek out new account opportunities including new accounts, improvement in current accounts (assortment planning, merchandising, POP, windows, and training).

• Determine product opportunities within current accounts and develop and execute sales plans.

• Work with other Regional Sales Managers to learn what is working/not working for the regions, including go to market, product and competitive threats.  Compare and assess performance across region.

• Submit quarterly market reports to Sales Directors and VP of Sales.

• Assist with the sales order processing procedures to ensure all orders are received and processed per procedure.

• Ensure back order report is monitored and processed for all accounts within your region.

• Meet with sales support on a regular basis, daily if necessary, to review month to date sales, call volume, order volume, and account interaction.

• Annually review regional reps, with VP of Sales, Sales Director and Customer Service Manager, for specified region.

• Actively communicate clear expectations to sales reps, sales management, operations and sales support.

• Finalize hiring and firing decision for region to Sales Director.

 

Marketing and Retailer Events

• Create seasonal and category specific sales programs and marketing materials to facilitate new account expansion and growth within territory.

• Direct involvement in all POS material, in-store collateral and retailer events.

• Work with event coordinator to schedule and plans events in region.

• Attend account and tradeshow events.

• Work with Sales Coordinator to facilitate communicating to all reps within region, of new POP releases, advertising and any necessary tools needed to achieve sales targets.

• Coordinate meetings – with regional reps (during regional trade shows).

• Ensure all advertising developed by reps and accounts is approved

 

Travel: 1-2 weeks per month (will vary on months, seasons and events)

 

Knowledge and Abilities 

• 4+ years sales experience in optical channel; 2+ at a management level.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

• Must be detail oriented and extremely organized

• Ability to prioritize daily/weekly workload and responsibilities

Warehouse Inventory Control/ Restocking (Forklift Operator)

The Inventory Control / Restocking is responsible for ensuring all pick bins are restocked, inventory movements are completed and the inventory is accurately named and placed in the warehouse. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and requires constant interaction with key accounts logistic team, along with the other Warehouse team members, and the QC department. This position is located at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):

• Move product from back stock locations to pick bins daily and on an as needed basis throughout the day

• Ensure product moved to back stock locations are accurately moved in the system using the warehouse management system guns

• Ensure QC’d product moved from receiving is marked accurately and moved appropriately in the system

• Run labels for pallet identification

• Assist with cycle counts

• Assist with pulling large key account orders

• Assist with inventory transfers from receiving returns

• Be able to perform other duties as assigned including labeling, order checking and rack organization

 

Requirements:

• Attention to detail;

• Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day

• Good communication skills

• Basic skill level of computer use (email, internet, calendar, excel)

• Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack & have current forklift certification

• Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs on a regular basis

• GP ERP system skills will be a plus factor
