Prescription Sunglasses FAQ
Got questions about ordering prescription sunglasses? We've got answers to help you see clearly (and look great).
Common Questions
How do I read my eyeglass prescription?
Your prescription will usually include values like SPH (sphere), CYL (cylinder), Axis, and sometimes ADD. If you're unsure, ask your optometrist for a copy with clear labels. We've built our ordering process to guide you through entering each value step-by-step.
How do I measure my Pupillary Distance (PD)?
PD is the distance between your pupils, measured in millimeters. If it's not included on your prescription, don't worry—you can measure it yourself during the order process using your computer or phone's camera. Our tool makes it easy.
How long does it take to receive my prescription sunglasses?
Your custom prescription shades will ship within 12–15 business days after you place your order. You'll get tracking info as soon as they're on the way.
What is the return policy for prescription sunglasses?
Returns are not currently accepted on customer products. If you have a problem with your glasses please refer to our Warranty page.
I'm having trouble seeing clearly—what should I do?
It can take a few days to adjust to new prescription lenses. If things still feel off after that, reach out to our team—we'll walk you through your warranty options.
How does the warranty work?
Our prescription sunglasses are covered under the same great warranty as our standard products. Full details and instructions are available on our Warranty page.
How long is my prescription valid?
Most prescriptions are valid for 1–2 years depending on your state or eye doctor's guidance. We recommend using the most recent one to ensure optimal vision and comfort.
Are your prescription lenses ANSI certified?
Yes! Our prescription lenses meet ANSI Z87.2 standards for impact protection. You're getting clarity *and* safety in one badass package.
Can I get reimbursed by insurance?
Many vision insurance plans offer out-of-network reimbursement for prescription eyewear. After your order is placed, you'll receive an itemized receipt you can submit to your provider.
